Irish designer Eileen Gray sure knew how to stand her ground amongst designers such as Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Marcel Breuer. She died in 1976 at the age of 98, but is still known as one of the pioneers of modernism.

She designed several pieces of furniture for her villa on the Côte d’Azur, such as the Adjustable Table E 1027. In 1978 the Museum of Modern Art (New York) added this table to its permanent collection.

Today the Adjustable Table E 1027 is produced and distributed by ClassiCon, with permission of the world license holder Aram Designs in London. Other than the weight, the label and the engravings, there are some other aesthetic features that differentiate the original from plagiarism. These are things such as the connections of the steel tubes, the proportions of the table, the finishing of the glass top, et cetera. However, these can differ from one replica to another.
