Located in Los Angeles, in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, you can find the Eames House. This is the place that Charles and Ray Eames designed together and where they lived until their deaths. The building served as a house and studio all-in-one. Inside, a cozy, holiday-like atmosphere was created by combining their own designs with souvenirs from their travels and gifts from family, friends and colleagues. Moreover, you can easily create this atmosphere in your own house.

An organized chaos turning the Eames House into a home

For the Eames’, design was inextricably linked to their daily life. The whole house is filled with stuff that reflect the life of Charles and Ray Eames. From books and different kinds of fabrics to straw baskets, shells and so on: the whole is some sort of organised chaos that turns the Eames House into a home. While every piece has its own value, they are most important as a part of the bigger collection – it's the relationship between the objects that counts.
