Muller Van Severen Valerie Objects

Design duo Muller Van Severen and the new label Valerie Objects have joined forces. This new partnership will make the gorgeous furniture of Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen even more widely available. Read on to find out why we are so happy to hear the news.

Photographer Fien Muller and sculptor Hannes Van Severen introduced their first designs at Galerie Valerie Traan in 2011. What initially started out as a fun departure for the artistic couple evolved to become a fully fledged and internationally popular collection of ‘furniture works’. These days, their work may be found in prominent galleries and museums in Belgium, but also in London, Berlin, Milan, Paris and New York. The pieces are characterised by the combination of minimalistic metal, warm colours and natural finishing materials.

Muller Van Severen more widely available thanks to Valerie Objects

For her own label Valerie Objects, Veerle Wenes of the Antwerp-based gallery Valerie Traan worked with Axel Van Den Bossche and Frank Lambert of the Serax design studio. They presented six cutlery sets at the launch that were designed by six international designers, including Muller Van Severen.

Additional emphasis is now being placed on the relationship between Valerie Objects and Muller Van Severen. A broad range of the furniture from the highly praised duo will become part of the new label that will produce, stock and sell the furniture. This will make them more easily accessible for a broad audience, including being on display in our Master showroom.

Muller Van Severen recently won the 2017 Champagne Award for Belgium. The representatives from the well-known region in France felt that the designer duo has many qualities in common with the famous sparkling wine, including exhibiting creativity, a continuous pursuit of excellence, and a bubbly personality. It is not the individual qualities of the ingredients that matter in this case, but the fact that together they form a harmonious whole.
