Our trip starts in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Here you will find the HTL Kungsgatan. Thanks to the affordable prices and central location in the heart of Stockholm this design hotel is the perfect base for a citytrip. Every design lover will feel at home here because of the modern interior with furniture by Moooi and Moroso.

In the HTL Kungsgatan you get the experience of a true boutique hotel, but at an affordable price. You can find more information on the website of the HTL design hotels.

Hotel City in Lugano

We would rather keep this beautiful place all to ourselves, but to be honest, the Hotel City in Lugano (Switzerland) really must be mentioned as one of our favourite design hotels. A part of the Master team stayed here on their way to the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

The hotel was designed by architects Giampiero en Guya Camponovo and fits perfectly in the urban environment. When you enter the lobby, you are welcomed by an elegant reception and colorful Fritz Hansen chairs by Arne Jacobsen. Want to know more? Then go visit hotelcitylugano.ch.

Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam

The last one in our list of design hotels is the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). This hotel was built at the end of the 19th century and was originally designed as a bank. Later it became the home of the Sweelinck Conservatorium, until it was bought by hotel group The Set in 2008.

In order to restore the building’s former beauty, designer and architect Piero Lissoni guided the creation of the hotel. He created a perfect mix of modern and historic, with furniture from manufacturers such as Living Divani, Kartell and Cassina. A true pleasure for everyone who loves design and art! You can book your stay on the hotel’s website.
