The Serif TV is more a piece of design furniture than it is an electronic device.

Welcome to the second post in our four-part series about the Salone del Mobile Milano 2016! Today, we’ll let you in on some of the best new products we encountered at the event.

Best new products

Samsung Serif TV

Although not new and already available at Master Meubel, it is probably one of the most-viewed products in Milan: the flatscreen television by the Bouroullecs! Many manufacturers seem particularly relieved that there is now a TV with an acceptable design, and therefore chose to display “Serif” in their home scenarios. Since this television is more a piece of design furniture than it is an electronic device, it is exclusively distributed by design stores - and Master Meubel is one of the few stores in Europe.

Extremis Sol+Luna

Sunbathe during the day, lounge with friends by night.

Take it easy in the brand new Sol+Luna sun bed, which transforms into a comfortable sofa at sunset. The single recliner is also a three-seater sofa, and a set of two recliners becomes a suite for six people.

The optional sun shade changes into a full moon every night.

A simple idea but oh so brilliant… Typical for Extremis… We are proud to be Belgians!

Knoll Avio Sofa System Collection

Avio, designed by Piero Lissoni, is an elegant yet relaxed sofa system that can reinterpret and improve the use of any type of space. Modular and linear, with a light structure that easily complements a variety of settings, the well-known Saarinen tables can be combined as tray-table in between the seats. As said by Leonardo da Vinci once: simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication. Well done!

“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication” - this shows perfectly in the new Avio sofa system!

Vitra APC chair

By creating the Vitra APC chair, Jasper Morrison gave a special twist to the classical wooden chair.Jasper Morrison has created a loyal and light companion for any day of the week in the form of the “All Plastic Chair” (or “APC” for short) for Vitra.

The APC is the look alike of a plain, classical wooden chair, but with a special twist to it: the thin seat has an organic shape to it and the backrest is more refined than was the case with its wooden ancestors. Moreover, while the frame is made of high-strength polypropylene, the seat and backrest gradually give and thus adapt to the body. Since the backrest is connected to the frame using rubber mounts, it softly emulates the user’s movements.

And in terms of color the frame is always a few tones darker than the seat and backrest. Plain but ingenious – typically Jasper Morrison.
