Imagine dive-bombing into a pool, but the pool is a sofa full of cushions and throws. Now yell “buuuuuuuuuuuuundle!” the way English kids do when they dive onto a sofa like that. This sense of fun, comfort and softness perfectly describes the design of the new Bundle sofa by Walter Knoll.

For the Bundle, Austrian design studio EOOS didn't start with the shape of the frame or the cushions. No, the basis of this sofa is its material. The video below shows how a throw can be transformed into a sofa in no time at all. "Reason becomes emotion," according to the Walter Knoll website.

Bundle: child's play

EOOS designed the sofa by folding throws and piling up fabrics, the same way children do when they’re playing bundle. “A simple and ingenious idea.” The double upholstery of this so-called sandwich construction gives Bundle its characteristic shape and makes it extra comfortable. “Softer, cosier, more fun - a bundle of pure pleasure.”

Bundle is a modular sofa available in various setups and a wide choice of fabrics. The aluminium base comes in a choice of matte black or bronze powder coating. The back is made of wood; the seat is supported by a sturdy zigzag frame.
