Most of the furniture in our showroom will fit in your home or office right away. But what about that old chair you have such fond memories of? Or that built-in cupboard at the end of the hall? Master Furniture can create you your own bespoke dream interior.

These customers didn’t want their interior to be too “classical”. Master interior designer and art director Filip Versmissen combined design pieces with furniture of his own design to create a unique interior. In addition, the Master Atelier reupholstered a number of chairs. So now they’ll last longer and are a better match for the interior.

Fireplace

In this room, the TV/fireplace cabinet in smoked sapele – an African wood – immediately catches the eye. It was designed by Filip and made to measure in the Master studio. The fireplace is still visible; the TV is hidden behind a set of refined sliding doors.

The two armchairs by Cor were skilfully reupholstered by our experts using Harald dust by Kvadrat. The elegant coffee table was designed for Knoll by Warren Platner; the Corduroy carpet is by Kasthall.

English office

In addition to the living room, we installed an “English” office, which includes a quintessential Chesterfield sofa and a cast iron fireplace. This unique version of the iconic Black, Red & Blue Chair by Gerrit Rietveld was created for teacher Wicher Zeilmaker in the 1920’s.

The bar cart, ideal for resting a scrumptious whisky, is by the Danish company Lange Production. The stylish wooden blinds were created by Copahome from Kortrijk. The floor lamps and the lamp on the trolley are two different versions of the Laguna by Artemide.

Standard and bespoke

Porro Storage cupboards were fitted in several rooms. This collection includes many standard elements that can be customised to a T by the Italian manufacturer. So they’ll always fit beautifully into your interior.

Have a look at the entrance hall, for instance, which has an excellent example of Porro customisation in stylish, black oak veneer accompanied by the famous Hill House Chair by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. In the bedrooms, our customer picked the white version of the Porro Storage units. The inside is fully lined with eucalyptus melamine, which is easy to maintain.

The wall-mounted vanity with sink and a mirror with LED lights behind it were made in the Master Atelier. And did you spot the paper Flos lamp, designed by Castiglioni in 1960? The classic Louis XV chair in the other bedroom was restored and reupholstered in our Master Atelier.

An eye-catcher, a surprise Snoopy and more

And finally, we’ll show you some of the fun corners in the house. On the line between the hall and the garden, the iconic Cassina Zig Zag is a real eye-catcher. The elegant Zanotta Calamo desk and the popular DePadova Donzella chair are both from 2013. And what do you think of the cheerful Flos Snoopy lamp on the desk?

This picture of the dining area really shows off the gorgeous Sahco-Hesslein curtains. The curtain pelmet box was made from MDF at the Master Atelier and painted along with the ceiling. It hides LED lights that can be controlled by the residents through the home automation system. And finally, the bathroom unit was drawn by Filip and executed in smoked sapele. It also includes an artfully concealed sofa and seat.
