The biennial fair Interieur Kortrijk’s first edition was in 1968 so it celebrates its silver anniversary this year from Friday, October 14th till Sunday, October 23rd. The ten-day fair kicks off on Friday with an invitions-only event, including the proclamation of the Flemish Culture Prize for Design and an exhibition of the work of Vincent Van Duysen.

Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen was in fact named Designer of the Year. The jury announced his name was the top of the list for the members. In recent years, Van Duysen worked with B&B Italia, Flos, Poliform, When Objects Work and Pastoe among other. Recently he was appointed creative director of renowned manufacturer Molteni&C.

The well-stocked Interieur Kortrijk program includes an exhibition of works by fifty German designers who launch a debate on the future of design, a look in the archives of Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand thanks to lightning brand Nemo and a lecture by Chilean architect Pezo von Ellrichshauses.
